Several years ago, I was fortunate to work in Woods Hole and got to know this small region of the Upper Cape. Returning today, I’m glad to see that not much has changed. Its understated charm, scenic coves, and small-town atmosphere are what make it unique. Woods Hole is more than just a ferry port to Martha’s Vineyard—it’s a blend of science, history, and classic Cape Cod beauty. From waterfront trails and quirky shops to world-class marine research centers, this village offers a perfect mix of discovery and relaxation, ideal for a day trip or weekend getaway.
