Walking Tour of Cais do Sodré
Duration: 1 - 2 hours
Cais do Sodré Train Station (Starting Point) - Art Deco facade of the 1920s station. Step into Praça Duque da Terceira and take in the statue of the Duke and the square’s architecture.
Church of St. Paul (Igreja de São Paulo) -Quiet, Baroque church, elegant ceiling fresco, gilded side altars.
Rua Nova do Carvalho - (Pink Street) - Lisbon's famous Pink Street, once a seedy sailor hangout, now a nightlife hotspot. Look for traces of its past in the signage and old tavern facades.
Time out Market (Mercado da Ribeira) Enjoy a snack from one of Lisbon's top chefs inside this 1892 market with prepared foods, produce and wine shops with serious vintage port.
Walk Along the Tagus River - Exit toward the waterfront. Follow the path toward Cais das Colunas, a short 5 - 10-minute stroll. Stop and enjoy the views of the river, the 25 de Abril Bridge, and ferry traffic.
Cais das Colunas - This former royal ceremonial pier is a perfect photo spot. The marble steps leading into the river once welcomed kings and foreign emissaries.
